Miniaturized High-Intensity Frequency Ultrasound (HIFU) Ultrasound Circular Cyclocoagulation (UCCC) performed at our institution (using a 6-second dose protocol with 20 second interval between sectors). The probe is in direct contact with the ocular surface, and whilst treatment is applied balanced-salted solution is applied to fill the spaces between the eye, the probe, and the coupling cone. This helps ensure acoustic propagation.
